Frequently Asked Questions

How does it work?

Therapy Next provides completely free profiles for therapists, wellness professionals, and therapy groups. By creating a profile you can get found by potential clients who are looking for your services. Clients can easily contact you by email, phone, or your own website. Join our network of over 4,500+ providers. See our features here.

Is it completely free?

Yes, we are completely free. We generate revenue from advertising on the site.

Why should I use it?

Individual web sites are often missed by Google and other search engines. You improve your Google ranking, gain free marketing, and a new stream of potential clients.

What types of providers are listed?

Therapy Next is a convenient place to find all types of therapists and wellness professionals:
  • Counseling and Psychotherapy
  • Speech Therapy and Audiology
  • Alternative and Holistic Therapy
  • Massage Therapy
  • Educational Therapy
  • Art & Music Therapy
  • Physical Therapy
  • Acupuncture
  • Chiropractic

I practice in two different fields (e.g. Counseling and Speech Therapy). Can I create two different profiles?

Yes. For example, you can create one profile as a Counselor/Psychotherapist and another as a Yoga Therapist. The only requirement is that each profile must have a unique email address. You can easily get a Yahoo or Gmail address and have it automatically forward messages to your primary email address.

I work for, or am the director of, a group practice or wellness center. How should I list myself?

When you sign up you can choose to list either your name or your practice name as the primary display on your profile.

Do you offer free listings for therapy groups?

Yes. To list your group click here.

I'm filling out my profile and don't see my Practice Area or Certification listed. What should I do?

We are always seeking to improve the quality and usability of our site. Contact Us and we'll try to help.

I already have my own individual web site for my practice. Why should I create a profile on TherapyNext?

Your web site may look great, but if no one sees it then it won't help your practice. SEO (search engine optimization) can help your site appear in search engines (e.g. Google), but SEO can be complicated, and most people don't have the time to become internet marketing experts.

I'm worried about the privacy of my email address - will you keep it private?

We take privacy seriously and will never share or sell your email address.

Will my email address be visible on my profile?

No, your email will not be visible on your profile. Clients can contact you by using the Send Message link on your profile. Our system then privately forwards the client's message to your email address. And of course, clients can always call you.

How long does it take for my profile to be approved?

Your profile will be active immediately when you click the link in your Activation email. However, to protect clients we review our profiles for accuracy, quality, and legitimacy and remove profiles that do not conform to professional standards. Profiles may take up to up to 24 hours to be approved during peak times, weekends and holidays.

Why didn't I receive my activation email?

Your email provider may have moved your Activation email into your Spam or Bulk Items folder. Please check your Spam and Bulk Items folders and mark emails from Therapy Next as "Not Spam." If you did not receive your activation email, please contact us via email at info@therapynext.com.

What is the Recommendations feature?

If you choose to enable the Recommendations feature, clients can write recommendations for you that will appear on your profile. You have complete control over which recommendations show on your profile. If you receive a recommendation, you must approve it before it displays on your profile. You can easily review and delete any recommendations using the Control Center.

If I enable the Recommendations feature on my profile, can I delete recommendations I don't like?

Yes, you can easily review and delete any recommendations from your profile using the Control Center.

I'm listed on several web sites. What else can I do to market myself?

In general, get your name out there on the web: bulletin boards, blogs, social networking sites (e.g. Facebook). Your profile has a "Share" button that you can use to let others know about your practice. Using our Recommendations feature to show client recommendations on your profile can increase your ranking in search engines.

What is your "Blog" feature?

You get your own blog to share your thoughts and advice. Posting in your blog also improves your ranking in Google, Yahoo, and Bing.

How can I post articles to my profile?

You can easily post articles to your profile to share your thoughts, advice, and news in your field of practice. Posting articles also improves your ranking in Google, Yahoo, and Bing.
