Practice Information

When we understand ourselves and our desires, we access our power. I help you learn what you want, and clear the obstacles out of your way. When the unconscious dictates our thoughts and behaviors, we are adrift in its hidden urges, fears, and conditioning. Getting to know ourselves brings these mysterious workings into the light, so that we can choose what we do with them. If you're feeling lost at sea, I can help you find your boat and compass. Once you're back at the helm, riding out the waves can be exhilarating! Gender and Sexual Expansion I know that in navigating the world as a queer person, it can be challenging to find the right fit in a therapist. Whether you identify as non-binary, trans, genderfluid or anywhere on the spectrum of non-heteronormativity, it's critical to talk with someone who gets it. When it's time to further explore a facet of your identity, sexuality or relationship, you can feel safe expressing yourself with me as you are without your therapist assigning your struggles to your lifestyle or identity. I counsel sex workers, individuals in polyamorous or other consensual non-monogamous relationships, and participants in kink or BDSM lifestyles. When you walk into my office, you can rest assured that you will be met with compassion and non-judgement.

Education

I continue to train in modern psychoanalysis at The Center for Modern Psychoanalytic Studies in Manhattan, NY. I received sex therapy training through the Institute for Sexual Education and Enlightenment in Portland, OR. I am a graduate of the Buddhist Psychology master's program at Naropa University in Boulder, CO. I've been a massage therapist since 2005 and specialize in working with trauma in all the ways it manifests in the body. I hold an undergraduate degree in Science Fiction Writing from Hampshire College.

Bio:

I'm a poly/kink aware, AASECT certified sex therapist practicing contemplative psychotherapy, which utilizes mindfulness and a belief that we are all intrinsically wise and whole. I support a wide spectrum of sexual expression, and welcome diversity. We will go at your pace, and create together a warm environment in which new experiences emerge.
