In collaboration with Adelphi University, HealthRight International’s Human Rights Clinic (HRC) will be holding a training this fall for new volunteer clinicians.
The Human Rights Clinic trains and deploys volunteer physicians and mental health professionals to provide clinical evaluations for survivors of torture, abuse, and neglect seeking immigration relief in the United States. We serve immigrant children, adolescents, and adults seeking protection in the NY metro area.

This training is open to:
Licensed physicians* Mental health professionals holding clinical licenses* *Given the NY metro area location of clients, training applicants should be licensed in either NY, NJ, or CT.
We welcome applicants with diverse backgrounds and skillsets. Clinicians possessing any of the following qualities are strongly encouraged to apply:
Clinicians licensed in New Jersey Professional or native fluency in Spanish, French, Russian, Bengali, Fulani, Urdu Child welfare experience Expertise in intimate partner violence Expertise working with LGBTQI populations Neuropsychology specialty Experience making competency determinations Interest working with immigrants in detention Given limited space, we ask that applicants have a sincere interest in joining our network of volunteer clinicians following the training. |
