Real Psychological Solutions
The Center For Empowerment
No one gets through the bumps of life unscathed. We all could use someone to help us through life’s ups and downs. Contemplating a change, coping with loss, eating healthy, staying fit, raising children, blending families, getting married or considering divorce are not “do-it-yourself” projects. I believe that people know intuitively when they need the help of a skilled guide but, the myths surrounding counseling can often get in their way.

The truth about face-to-face and internet counseling is that it works best when you are ready. Scheduling an appointment is the first step in resolving a problem. It is not a sign of weakness and you don’t need a serious problem to benefit from counseling. People with everyday concerns such as adjustments or phase of life issues also can get results from counseling too.

People who see me or seek my internet services are usually feeling stressed, stuck, anxious, depressed, lost, ashamed, guilty, or unforgiving about some portion of their lives. They are looking for lasting results, not quick fixes. I find a combination of Cognitive Behavior and Acceptance and Commitment Therapies work best, In addition, I offer nutritional, wellness and lifestyle coaching too. Remember I am only a phone call or email away.

Bio
I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist, certified wellness coach and nutritionist who knows what it takes to manage life challenges while aiming for professional success and personal life satisfaction. With over 25 years of experience in the mental healthcare field I have successfully guided others toward their vision of well-being and wholeness. Nothing thrills me more than online counseling and coaching others to become their own best coach/counselor. Check out my book and articles on “Presence of Mind: Mindful Affirmations”, a practical self-help counseling and coaching page I founded with my spouse Stefan Unger, PhD.

I teach tools for attracting hope and desire. My coaching and counseling offers clients strategies for positive transformation and conflict management. With a very successful private practice in Clinical Psychology, specialty in Sports Psychology, and growing number of coaching certifications, I bring to the field of wellness coaching a myriad of rich life experiences among them overcoming an acute chronic illness, raising two successful kids with her spouse of 31years and living and working abroad.

As an executive wellness coach, I draw on my sports psychology and nutrition backgrounds, as well, and make learning about mental-physical fitness fun. I coach people on how to acknowledge their potential, realize their vision for change, and compensate for their limitations by offering evidenced-based strategies and resources for optimal lifestyle redesign, and personal transformation. I customize my approach to the uniqueness of each of my clients.
