Bio
I am a Marriage and Family therapist specializing in individual, couples and family therapy, and maintain a private practice in Kentfield, and San Francisco, CA. I have over 20 years experience as an MFT, and am a graduate of California Institute of Integral Studies, specializing in holistic, humanistic and existential therapy. Among my areas of expertise are addictions and recovery, couples and relationship issues, families and adolescents, pre-marital support, spirituality, depression and anxiety.
I have worked in an adolescent inpatient recovery home, an outpatient methadone facility treating adults with opiate addiction, as director of an outpatient recovery program working with adults and adolescents with substance abuse or eating disorders, and in private practice. In my practice I treat adults, adolescents, families, and couples. I focus on helping a marriage go through a tough time by improving communication, developing a better attunement to each other, healing past hurts and resentments, addictions, and anger. I also work with families to unite them around an issue and restructure their dynamics. I run mens groups, helping men overcome depression, addictions, anger, narcissism and vulnerability issues. I work with women to heal their relationships, eating disorders, past hurts and self esteem. I supervise therapists. I also consult for addiction treatment. I have developed a tie between psychological work and spiritual awareness. I have done numerous trainings including AEDP, EFT, Brain based therapy, mindfulness and compassion therapy, various addiction trainings, couples therapy trainings, somatic approaches, and trauma recovery. I enjoy backpacking, biking and hiking. I have an undergraduate in Business Management and have experience in management. I read, study and practice spirituality and being present. I am married, with children and love being a dad
