Portrait Health Centers are multi-specialty clinics that employ the most cutting-edge and proven assessment protocols and treatment options available, believing that an Effective Treatment Depends On An Accurate Diagnosis. Individuals should not have to “play doctor” by researching available treatments and then self-selecting which of these treatments has been scientifically validated and would be most appropriate for themselves or their family. At Portrait Health Centers, we provide a comprehensive and multi-specialty assessment to determine the underlying causes of your symptoms and incorporate an appropriate treatment plan.
Therapeutic Approaches: Therapy is not a one fits all approach and should tailored toward the individual, I therefore I use a variety of therapies; Cognitive behavioral therapy, person centered solution focused, client centered, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness, relaxation techniques, motivational interviewing.

Education/experience: I earned my masters degree in social work from the University of Texas of Arlington. As a social worker I have spent the last 8 yrs working in home, medical, clinic, and mental health settings where I have worked closely providing case management, service coordination and supportive counseling to diverse populations from adolescents to elderly clients experiencing physical and mental health issues. I specialize in anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, dementia and Alzheimer, grief and loss, pain management. In addition, I have experience in crisis counseling helping individual devastated by life to find hope and purpose and regain a sense of control and safety over their lives.

Approach/Philosophy: Often life struggles leave us feeling overwhelmed and hopeless making us feel out of control of our wellbeing. It is my greatest passion to aide my clients in instilling that hope through empowerment, education and guidance I believe that everyone has the ability to find a inner peace and strength to overcome these obstacles.

I have a client centered approach and will work with you to drive your own destiny through a collaborative approach. I believe with the proper support you can grow, learn, and recover. This can be accomplished through exploration, problems solving, identify achievable goals and making a plan of action for achieving those goals. I am excited to walk the journey with you to gain control over your life.

About me: In addition for my passion to counsel I enjoy enhancing my skills through being a career student in search of knowledge through reading, attending and participating in workshops and seminars. I am a cultural lover who enjoys art, museums, and I believe wholeheartedly in self care and personal development and spend a lot my leisure time practicing yoga, meditation, taking long walks and cuddles with my dogs and spending time with my teenage daughters and friends.
