High Conflict Couples, Trauma, Marriage Friendly Therapy
Carol Ummel Lindquist, Ph.D.
I love my work as a psychologist and look forward to helping you with whatever challenges you would like to explore and resolve. I enjoy both traditional psychotherapy and coaching by telephone and e-mail. I have 20+ years in private practice as a licensed clinical psychologist. I am probably most well known for working with especially urgent, difficult, high conflict couples and for the treatment of trauma in individuals using EMDR. Couples and individuals benefit in therapy when we create a peaceful, safe haven for our work.
Therapists: would you like to get 25% more income in the next 12 months, work fewer days, take more vacations and enjoy your clients more? That's what my coaching clients do and we have fun doing it.

She has trained numerous therapists and published many papers on assertiveness, domestic violence and social skills training. She lives with her husband and raised her sons in Laguna Beach, California. Yes she is happily married but remembers, marriage can be very hard work sometimes. Living through tough times can lead to the best and happiest part of your life.

She also enjoys working with people who wish to add an Internet component to their business. She has a variety of interests and experiences and likes to remain current on a number of topics that apply to her coaching, couples and individual work.
She regularly uses EMDR, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing for the rapid relief of traumatic experiences such as childhood injury and abuse, grief, anxiety, fire, accidents, fears and phobias.
