Multi-Speciality Psychotherapy and Counseling Services
For All Ages, Individual And/Or Marriage and Family Therapy
IPPC has available to you the professional services of both Dr. Cathryn Harris and Dr. Mitchell Harris. As a husband and wife team, we have been providing comprehensive professional psychological services for all ages of clients in the Inland Empire of Southern California since 1988. We are friendly, family-oriented, faith-respecting and hopefully sometimes fun. We are dedicated to helping people in all aspects of their lives to become more whole, healthy, happy, fulfilled, and successful. We are dedicated to integrity and thoroughness in all our professional activities. We see children, adolescents and adults in individual, relational, and family outpatient psychotherapy. We offer many treatment options, ranging from brief, problem-oriented strategies, to intensive, longer term therapy. We have animal-assisted therapy available with two therapy dogs in-training. We also take pride in being a valuable resource for churches, synagogues, schools, businesses, the legal community, and fellow medical professionals for whom we can provide consultation, education, and crisis-management intervention. Both Dr. Cathryn Harris and Dr. Mitchell Harris have a specialization in trauma, using EMDR and other specialized techniques. Dr. Mitchell has additional training in hypnotherapy, and also provides forensic services for divorce proceedings (730 evaluations, and 733 second opinions on custody), family reconciliation and court-ordered therapy, and psychological evaluations for many other legal purposes. We accept most insurance plans (please note that insurance plans will not cover forensic procedures and evaluations).
Education/Training
Dr. Cathryn received her M.A. in Marriage and Family Counseling from Biola University, and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Rosemead School of Psychology, Biola University, completing both her pre-doctoral and post-doctoral internships at The Psychology Center and I-CAN, both associated with Fuller Seminary in Pasadena. Dr. Cathryn has specialized training in the integration of psychology and theology, Eye Movement Desensitizatino and Reprocessing (EMDR), Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD), marriage and family therapy, and play therapy with children.
Bio
Dr. Cathryn has been involved in doing psychotherapy for almost three decades. Cathryn has worked as Clinical Director for a day treatment center for the chronically mental ill, and as Adjunct Professor at both Rosemead School of Psychology, and Fuller Seminary's School of Psychology. For over a decade, she has been Clinical Supervisor for Turning Point Counseling, a non-profit agency that places Marriage and Family Therapy interns in churches throughout Southern California. In addition to these professional activities, she has been in private practice since 1990.

Dr Cathryn and Dr. Mitchell have been married for almost 25 years, have one "perfect" daughter, and two less-than-perfect therapy dogs in training.
