Elena Marie Ramirez, Ph.D.
Dr. Ramirez provides high quality empirically supported treatments for clients who struggle with a variety of psychological problems. The goal is to improve the quality of life of clients through the delivery of ethical and effective psychological interventions. Dr. Ramirez provides a supportive therapeutic environment in which people can learn to make changes in their lives that will allow them to become happier, more successful, and more fulfilled.
Education/Training
Dr. Ramirez holds an undergraduate bachelor of science degree in Psychology from Vanderbilt University, where she graduated Cum Laude with Honors in Psychology. She earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Vermont in Burlington, Vermont and completed her doctoral internship at the Tufts/Boston VAMC Consortium in Boston, MA.
Bio
Elena Marie Ramirez, PhD is a licensed psychologist-doctorate whose professional focus is on
helping people to make changes in behaviors that will improve their psychological as well
as physical health. She specializes in the treatment of anxiety disorders, phobias, mood disorders, stress management, eating and body image disorders, and obesity. Dr. Ramirez has been a frequent guest speaker to various community forums on these topics. She is also the director of The Weight Control Program, a multidisciplinary empirically based weight
management program, for adults as well as children and adolescents. In addition to being a member of national professional organizations devoted to the study of psychology and behavioral health, Dr. Ramirez is recognized as a Health Service Provider in Psychology by the Council for the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology and holds a current appointment as a member of the Independent Panel of Mental Health Care Providers for the Vermont Department of Banking, Insurance, Securities, and Health Care Administration.

Dr. Ramirez is a member of The American Psychological Association, The North American Association for the Study of Obesity, and The National Eating Disorders Association. She is also in the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology and a member of the Vermont BISCHA Independent Panel of Mental Health Care Providers.
