Practicing Individual and Group Psychotherapy for over 30 yr
Seasoned facilitator of Women's Therapy Groups
Welcome. I'm a seasoned practitioner of individual and group psychotherapy.

When beginning with a new Individual client, my first priority is to build a nonjudgmental,
trusting, therapeutic relationship. Our relationship will itself, in time, become a powerful
agent of change.

I often work with well-functioning people who are motivated to change, to heal, or to grow. I’m interactive in sessions, and my style is warm and collaborative. Using a strength-based approach, Issues I enjoy working with include: life or relationship transitions, growth related to life stage, patterns/boundaries that are no longer helpful, issues specific to women, grief and loss, and rewriting distorted beliefs that originated in childhood.

Guiding Principles: I believe that most times we have our own answers, but sometimes, we need help trusting our instincts or uncovering our own answers. I'm interactive in sessions, and my style is warm and collaborative. I was active in--and influenced by--the women's movement, and feminism is a lens that guides my work.

Why I Love Groups:
I’ve had the joy and privilege of facilitating women’s groups for several decades. In group, I create and foster a safe working space, encourage supportive community among members, and build group cohesion.

As a group member, you have a wonderful opportunity to learn more about yourself as you gain support, insight, and perspective from other members. Group often becomes a highly valued space in which to have meaningful conversations that can be missing elsewhere in life.
