Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine can have positive effects in the treatment of virtually any disorder. Acupuncture is very effective in the treatment of pain, injuries, disease, depression, anxiety, women's health, fertility, men's health, colds and flu, digestive disorders, allergies, arthritis, addiction, skin conditions, headaches, stress, pregnancy and post partum, and much more. During a hospital stay many patients experience pain, anxiety, nausea, and sleep disturbance, acupuncture can assist in making the stay in the hospital more comfortable and carry the treatment plan to outside the hospital. Acupuncture has also been proven to be very effective in preparing the patient for surgery and relieving pain after surgery, assisting in childbirth, and as a doula (in-training), I will nurture the unique balance of mind, body and spirit, making your childbirth experience comfortable, in or out of the hospital.
I offer services that draw from both conventional and complementary medicine. Dedicated to helping you achieve your highest potential for wellness, my healing-oriented philosophy focuses on less invasive therapies to help remove barriers that may be blocking your body's ability to heal.
As my patient, I will involve you in the healing process – empowering you by clarifying the connection between the choices you make on a daily basis and how those choices affect your health – mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. My practice focuses on the comprehensive assessment and treatment of disharmony in the body. The resulting awareness, combined with the healing effects of Chinese medicine and acupuncture is extremely effective in the treatment of both acute and chronic disorders.
For your convenience, I accept most major insurance companies, including auto accident and Worker’s Comp claims. I was drawn to Chinese medicine by its philosophy of compassionately treating the whole person, not just the disease or its symptoms. I work with each patient to promote greater balance and well-being by creating an individualized treatment plan – which may include acupuncture, acupressure, Tuina (Chinese bodywork), Chinese herbs, nutrition, lifestyle counseling and other techniques.
