Bio
I am a family therapist who works with teens, adults, families, and couples. Therapy is all about relationships. Therapy begins with the relationship between you and me, where you are given respect in a warm, supportive setting. My approach is tailored to individual needs and always includes building on your strengths. I work well with families facing adolescent changes, blended and stepfamilies, young people and adults searching for meaning, people encountering loss and trauma and those feeling depressed or anxious. I see people disappointed in relationships or lonely without one and couples encountering major difficulties or just not feeling good.
Contemplating therapy can be stressful. Understanding this, I work with you to make therapy comfortable so we can work on what actually brings you here. We can discover ways to manage anxiety, fear, and unhappiness through mindfulness and stillness. Being calm can bring balance, strength, and gratitude to your daily life.
Ours is an active therapy relationship, leading to the understanding, healing, and empowerment you desire. I believe that knowing ourselves and how we fit in our families and society is the springboard to a better life right now. I believe in hope and the power of relationships to make positive change.
