Psychotherapist with an LGBTQ focus
Sometimes, even the closest person to us doesn’t fully grasp what we endure. Psychotherapy takes it much further than just grasping the situation. This form of healing is about increasing self-awareness and taking ownership of our lives through courage and commitment. Let’s work together to heal from the deep underlying wounds or let’s monitor the scar. Regardless of method, the most important step towards healing is the first one.

“Courage starts with showing up and letting ourselves be seen.” - Brene Brown

As a socially-aware, queer-immigrant I understand the difficulties in adjustment, perseverance and achievement. Aside from personal experiences, my formal training includes a Masters of Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania with six years of direct practice. I’ve worked in settings with various populations struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD, addicting behavior, relationship conflict, and specially LGBTQ-related issues. I have an eclectic modality that includes principles from psychodynamic therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, motivational interviewing, harm reduction, and problem solving skills. What drives me to do this work are the moments when my clients make connections, creating a positive chain of events in their lives.
