Hello, and thank you for your interest in my practice. Finding a therapist can be a challenge especially when your feeling distressed and not sure where to turn. I am a licensed clinical social worker offering counseling services in Commack, New York. My practice focuses on problems in living, and mental health issues effecting women. Special areas of interest include depression, anxiety, eating disorders, weight management, problems with social discomfort, bereavement (including pet loss), divorce, family difficulties, childhood trauma, low self esteem, and phase of life problems.
You will find my personality to be warm and supportive. My maturity and life experiences compliment my clinical knowledge with over 20 years in various practice settings. Treatment plans are individual and are evidenced based utilizing a psycho-dynamic understanding of the human condition, coupled with humanistic client centered and cognitive-behavioral approaches to helping.
My office is in a private setting, offering a safe, confidential environment in which to discuss your personal issues and concerns. I also offer sessions by telephone or web cam via Skype. I accept some insurance plans as direct payment and provide documentation for reimbursement for out of network benefits on all insurance plans. For those without insurance, with limited income, or experiencing financial difficulties, I offer a sliding scale fee schedule.
