Ingrid Caswell is a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern specializing in childhood trauma, codependency, and treatment of partners of sex addicts. Her personal transformative story involves codependency and sex addiction. Her passion is to help others along the path to recovery from the trauma of loving a sexually addicted partner.
She is also an Anger Management 818 facilitator. She teaches Anger Management for Couples as well as for individuals.
Bio
Ingrid Caswell holds a Masters in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in marriage and family therapy from Antioch University Los Angeles. She is a therapist intern at the Antioch University Counseling Center in Culver City where she treats individuals, couples, and families. Ingrid specializes in addiction, treatment of partners of addicts, childhood trauma and co-dependency recovery. She has also trained extensively at the Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center in Mindful Parenting with specialist Tandy Parks in a developmentally-based approach to promoting sensitivity and flexibility in communications between parent and child.
Prior to becoming a therapist, Ingrid worked for 14 years with the adult immigrant population in East Los Angeles as an English as a Second Language instructor. Other passions of Ingrid’s have included teaching, news reporting, and performing. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Texas at Austin. She was a reporter for several news outlets, including WBAI Radio News in New York, New York, where she covered trials, press conferences, and political demonstrations. Ingrid is also a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York, where she appeared in numerous Off-Broadway productions, independent films, and television commercials.
As a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT) and the California Teachers Association (CTA), Ingrid connects with other professionals in the field and stays current with new clinical findings.
In 2012, Ingrid Caswell joined the Anger Management 818 Team and became a Certified Anger Management Facilitator. She offers one to one Executive Coaching and facilitates weekly Anger Management Classes. Ingrid works under the supervision of Anita Avedian, MFT, and works with individuals, couples and families.
