Clinical Supervisor, Adjunct Faculty, and Psychotherapist with twenty-five years experience in hospital, agency, university, and private practice settings, my approach is pragmatic and focused; my style, collaborative, down-to-earth, and peppered with humor, a sense of irony, and the requisite soul searching. My work is well-suited for those facing major life transitions, relationship challenges, seeking to change self-defeating, ineffective patterns of thought and behavior, or wanting to live more authentically and creatively.
Primary among my influences are Relational Psychoanalytic Therapy, the Skills Training component of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and the iconoclastic work of Milton Erickson's strategic hypnotherapy. Our work together will clarify the parameters, chart the most effective course, and overcome obstacles to resolution.
Specializing in effective, focused treatment with individuals and couples. When working with couples and creative partnerships (management teams, musical groups, etc.), I utilize the unique benefits of a male/female consultation team together with Lauren Gonzalez, MFTI.
