Couples Therapy
Dream Analysis
My name is Jack Mayhall. I’ve been licensed as a Marital and Family Therapist in California since 1995 and a CAMFT Certified Supervisor since 2000. I’m currently looking for a clinical/teaching position. My continued passion is in applying professional practice concepts to help people better understand their lives and develop in a manner that resonates with them. I enjoy achieving this work through either direct encounter/therapy or indirectly via teaching and supervision.
I was MFT Chair at the California Graduate Institute/The Chicago School of Psychology for 14 years as well as faculty. I’ve taught Theory and Practicum classes on a weekly basis as well as chairing dissertations. I’m currently in private practice (16 years) and run groups for Psychological Care and Healing Treatment Facility and Prominence Treatment Facility as well as providing Clinical supervision for Outreach Concern interns. Outreach Concern is a school based program. I’ve also worked with DMH for two years in board and care facilities. In addition, I served Veterans as Clinical Director of U.S.VETS Los Angeles.
I embrace and continue to study several approaches to treatment, such as Family Systems Theory, Object Relations, Jungian, and Cognitive Behavioral Theory. I also provide in-service to clinics and enjoy community outreach educational offerings.
I work well under pressure and have strong organizational and people skills. I was named professor of the year a number of times both by students and faculty. I know how to work with patients and help them achieve their goals of treatment.

Jack Mayhall, Ph.D. is one of the finest teachers and supervisors I have ever had. He was and still is very accessable, extremely knowledgeable and highly ethical. His knowledge on many different kinds of therapy allow him to work with a varied population to include psychodynamic psychotherapy (Jungian), cognitive behavioral and reality therapy. He understands the differences between needs and wants with his clients and is able to give them a strong voice. I highly recommend him to any teaching institution for clinical teaching, research and therapy. Stefanie Stolinsky, Ph.D.
