Develop music therapy programs in facilities which lack such programs. Provide group and individual sessions for residents of various retirement communities, skilled care, dementia care, assisted living, and adult day programs. Use music to promote socialization, stimulate cognitive functioning, encourage physical movement, provide respite for staff and family, and enrich the lives of the residents. Provide individual programs for bed-bound and end-of-life patients for social, cognitive, and sensory stimulation. Create session plans to meet the needs of the clients. Document all interactions with clients.

Education
I have a bachelor's degee in Gerontology from Lindenwood University and a bachelor's degree in Music Therapy from Maryville University. I have been a board-certified music therapist since 2010.
Bio
I have ten years experience working with elderly in all levels of care, first in activities and more recently as a board certified music therapist. I currently do contract music therapy in St. Charles County but am willing to travel further to provide for facilities in surrounding areas. I love working with the elderly, especially those with dementia, evoking those long-ago memories and stimulating cognitive processes, as well as promoting positive social interactions and increasing physical activity.
