I see a variety of clients from ages 5 to 75. This includes people who have various life adjustment problems as well as those with personality and mood disorders. I treat children with play therapy for behavioral and other problems. Couples may require conjoint therapy for marital difficulties which may include other family members. And, of course, individual psychotherapy may be useful. I treat people who have suffered traumas caused by sexual, physical and emotional abuse which could result in depression, anxiety, social phobias, etc. I am able to assist people in overcoming self-defeating behavior which cause an inability to achieve goals in life.

I use various types of therapy depending on the individual and types of problems he or she may be having. One very effective therapy technique is the utilization of inner voice dialogue with ways to conquer negative self-concepts. This may include bibleotherapy and worksheets depending on an individual's preference.

Many first time patients are surprised to find that "talk therapy" can be so tension relieving. As a result, you may find yourself experiencing a lightening of moods and an enhanced sense of well-being. There's a great payoff in learning more about yourself.

I attended California State University at Los Angeles where I received a Master's Degree in Psychology in 1976. I fulfilled a 3000 hour internship following graduation and in order to receive a license to practice Marriage Family Therapy.

I graduated from California State University in 1976 and have a Master's Degree in Psychology. I did my internship with schizophrenics in a clinic setting. I have consistently practiced with the patient in mind and am able to utilize short term therapy techniques in cases where it is requested. I am on the provider panel for many managed care, employee assistance and indemnity insurance companies.
