Pain relief, digestive health and emotional well being are the primary focuses in my practice, however I treat many, many different disorders because human beings are so amazingly complex. I use a blend of acupuncture, cupping, tui na (Chinese medical massage) and botanical medicine to restore good health and well being. Acupuncture and botanical medicine combined are extremely powerful modalities to bring about positive health changes. The botanical medicines I use include hand-crafted herbal tinctures and ointments, flower essences and therapeutic-grade essential oils. My treatment room has great feel to it, and I also use a far-infrared lamp to promote healing and strength.

I type up and print out Lifestyle and Nutrition recommendations to enhance and support the care you are receiving as well as to use as a reference for change.

I teach many holistic health classes of which my patients take advantage such as The Top Ten Digestive Tips class and Choosing Breast Health Over Breast Cancer.

I also work with two very talented Doctors of Chiropractic - Bob Shepherd and Paula Allenburg – and I feel very fortunate to be able to refer my patients to them if they need chiropractic support. Acupuncture and chiropractic care are synergistic in their effect and often people will schedule their appointments for both modalities on the same day.

I do not practice fertility medicine, and I will refer out to qualified fertility specialists in such cases.

Bio
My Mom quit smoking over 20 years ago using acupuncture. At the time, I thought it was a miracle because she had tried many different ways to quit, but she still craved cigarettes and was EXTREMELY crabby. Not so with acupuncture. She never craved another cigarette. So when it came time for a career change after working in Presentation Graphics for 19 years, I explored Chinese medicine. Chinese medicine is based in nature which makes sense to me. The ancient Chinese used their astute powers of observation to develop a complete medical system. Rooted in nature, TCM's objective is to restore balance and harmony within the body. As we are all part of nature, everyone can benefit from TCM.

I absolutely love practicing Chinese medicine. I look forward to work everyday - which is good because job satisfaction is vital to one's health.

Your First Wealth Is Health is the guiding mantra for my practice. I read that gift of wisdom in a fortune cookie when I was planning my practice, and I knew immediately that it would become part of my practice.
