EMDR therapy for anxiety and depression
Certified in Emotionally Focused Couples Counseling
Your relationship with yourself and the ones you love deserves experienced care. I have advanced training in couples therapy as well as EMDR, a specialized form of therapy that address numerous issues. I help individuals and couples resolve conflict, feel safer, more connected and more loving. You do not have to suffer alone; real help is available.

My specialty areas include: anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationship issues for singles and couples, and life transitions.
Education/Training
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFC 50027) and have been seeing clients on the Central Coast since 2006. I have a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Santa Clara and I am in progress on a Ph.D. in Human Development. I have also taken advanced training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).

Working as a therapist is my second career. Prior to becoming a therapist, I spent 20 years in the high-tech sector. I worked for Hewlett-Packard in various roles such as Engineer, Educator, R&D and IT Manager, and IT Director.
Bio
I am goal oriented, so I have gravitated towards research based treatments that have proven track records.

I developed a specialty in EFT couples therapy because I get tremendous satisfaction when I am able to support a distressed couple find connection, joy, and happiness in their relationships. I also believe that a good relationship can make a huge difference not just at home, but in life overall. With a secure, loving relationship, everything gets a little easier.

I developed a specialty in EMDR because I have found that most clients (and people in general) have experienced some form of trauma in the past, and EMDR is incredibly effective at helping individuals move past old hurts. It is amazing to watch the transformations that can happen in a person’s emotions and perceptions in a short period of time.
