Kelly Higdon, MFT
Are you struggling with an issue that you just cannot get past?
Do you feel so overwhelmed you don't know where to start?
Are you ready to feel truly satisfied with your life?
When you hit an obstacle in your life that you can't get past, you can start to feel frustrated, angry, and even hopeless. You can start to doubt and berate yourself for not being able to just move past the issue. An issue in one part of your life can soon take over and rob you of your joy. Finding someone you can trust to tell your story so you can move on, can be difficult, especially if it is hard to trust others. I can help.
I help people who are ready to make real change at a pace that works for them. My clients develop a keen sense of confidence, competence and happiness which they take into their everyday lives.
While I work with people who are generally seeking a new way of living and want change, I also have specialities in working with men, young adults, and divorce .

Bio
Often the people I see have found it difficult to open up and talk about themselves. They sometimes express how hard it is to trust others. Each person is unique and has their own path for exploration. I do not believe in homework or specific formulas. I have a particular interest in working with young adults, women in transition and MFT Interns. For people that have a spiritual crisis or are unable to make sense of their belief about the world, I offer an expertise in addressing this issue. I enjoy working with individuals that have tried therapy before but felt it difficult to open up or express themselves.
I have worked in inpatient and outpatient settings with children, teens and adults. I have extensive experience with those that have severe mental illness and their families and those with eating disorder struggles. I am experienced in providing therapy for anger management, domestic violence, substance abuse, coping and stress management and anxiety. These things have a great impact on families and other relationships and are often helped with counseling.
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, license MFC#45351. You may verify my license here. I can be reached - you may email me here to discuss how therapy can help you.
