KC Acupuncture

35252 Hudson Way, Unit 2
Using Traditional Chinese Medicine, I treat disease using a different paradigm than what is commonly used in the West. Chinese medicine focuses on finding the imbalances within the body which cause disease, and works to restore those balances so that the patient's body may heal itself.

I focus mainly on Sports Injuries, Reproductive Disorders, and Emotional Disorders, but am happy to speak with anybody to discuss treatment options.

Bio
I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame where I majored in Social/Cultural and Medical Anthropology. It was there that I began focusing my attention on more traditional systems of medicine and healing. I received a grant to study medicine men and curanderos in Peru and also began looking into Chinese Medicine.

After Notre Dame, I continued to Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, CA. There I received my Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine - a 4-year, year-round Masters program. While in San Diego, I interned as an Acupuncturist with San Diego Cancer Center in Encinitas, San Diego Hospice and the Institute for Palliative Medicine, as well as in my school's clinic where I treated things such as pain disorders, musculoskeletal problems, sciatic pain, depression and mania, sleep disorders, infertility and reproductive problems - to name a few.

Earlier in 2010 I had the opportunity to go to China and work and study in the teaching-hospital of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. During my internship there I studied the clinical applications of Chinese herbs in the Nephrology, Cardiology, and Andrology (Male Reproductive) departments.
