My approach is flexible and active. I believe that we understand ourselves better by understanding our family relationships and history and I try to use the interaction between myself and my clients to further that self-awareness.

I believe that relationships are powerful and transformative and that therapy is a collaborative endeavor. Through exploring past and current relationships, and the internal world of thoughts and feelings, we work together toward changing self-defeating patterns and opening greater possibilities for a more fulfilling life.

In my work with clients flexibility, forthrightness, and respect for the client are essential to good therapy.
I have over 30 years of experience in individual psychotherapy, couples and group therapy as well as teaching and supervising other therapists. I have experience working with issues such as Adoption, Anxiety, Bereavement, Childhood Sexual Abuse, Chronic or Terminal Illness, Creativity, Coming Out, Depression, Divorce, Gender, Infertility, Loss, Marital Conflict, Parenting, Recovery, Relationships, Self-Esteem, and many others
