Luz Bayer, MFT | Marriage & Family Therapist photo
Ms. Bayer is a Bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 25 years of experience in the field. She works mostly with adults whether individually or in couples. Her specialty, based on her own background as a Latin married to an Anglo, includes working with mixed marriage couples, as well as parenting in a different culture. People who move away from their country of origin experience a series of adjustment issues that may result in specific symptoms such as depression, anxiety, confusion, hurt over loss of identity, family and friends.
Besides dealing with those issues, Ms. Bayer finds it very rewarding to help people who are experiencing difficulties at work, whether in terms of performance, dealing with a difficult boss, developing leadership or emotional intelligence, or wanting a transition.
She is an active participant in your therapy, and uses cognitive therapy as well as family systems thinking in terms of her approach. Her coaching training suits her well to deal with problem resolution, and helping you move forward in your life.
