Lynn has been practicing in the field of counseling since 1986 where she received her master’s degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago in Art Therapy. Since her graduation she has worked primarily with children and their families in various settings. She was a treatment foster parent for 10 years and as a result has personal experience in parenting children who have problems. In her five years employed by the Family Counseling Center as the Children’s Clinic Manager, she supervised staff that worked with children and families.

Lynn provides counseling and teaches children how to express their experiences and to manage their behavior. Her perspective is that every child has their potential to thrive and grow if his or her unique personality is understood and responded to in the manner that will encourage the development of a stable, caring and confident self. The caretaker is a vital part in this process and works in collaboration with Lynn child and developing a process that works.
