Bio
Mark became interested in acupuncture after he was diagnosed with a pituitary tumor. He endured surgeries, radiation and other medical treatments during this time. Acupuncture helped him with not only his physical pain, stress, and anxiety but it also helped him to grow spiritually. He was inspired him to become an acupuncturist to help other people facing similar situations.
Mark currently helps people with pain management as well as a variety of health concerns. He also enjoys working with patients to promote overall wellness. Mark’s goal with every patient is to direct them onto a path of health, happiness and success through education and empowerment. Along with acupuncture, he also practices herbal medicine, wellness coaching and nutrition counseling. Mark has special training in pediatric and geriatric medicine. In addition, he is currently a faculty member and clinical supervisor at Tai Sophia Institute.
Mark’s education includes a master’s degree in acupuncture from Tai Sophia Institute, a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Maryland College Park and intensive training in Chinese and Western herbal medicine and nutrition. He is also certified by the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association.
