Education
I hold a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from National University and a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies from Excelsior College. I am also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) which has been found to be useful in the treatment of trauma. I am currently certified by the American Council on Exercise as a Lifestyle and Weight Management Coach and as a Personal Trainer.
Bio
Prior to becoming a therapist (MFT), I worked in the information technology industry as an account executive and business development manager. I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, families and individuals. I teach parent education and coach parents on new, positive ways to relate to their children using the Positive Discipline principles. My work includes helping individuals through life transitions such as family changes, ending or beginning relationships, career transitions and positive aging. My personal experiences as a business woman, daughter, mother, sister, and wife enables me to understand and be empathetic to your experiences.
