Adolescent, emerging adult, and adult therapist
Hi, I'm Megan. I provide therapy for adolescents, young adults, and adults in their 20s and 30s. I can help you reduce your anxiety and/or depression and find solutions to things in your life that cause you high stress while helping you build your self-esteem and confidence, so you can be your best self.

Some of the issues that many of my child and teen clients and/or students face are difficulty managing depression and/or anxiety, self-esteem, dealing with school avoidance, school refusal, ADHD (attention deficit-hyperactivity-disorder), academic success, relationship issues, social adjustments and difficulties, and grief and loss.

Whereas, most of the emerging adults and adults I work with struggle with depression, anxiety, self confidence, imposter syndrome, self-esteem, career transitions, social and relationship struggles, and finding meaning in their work and life.

I can truly say that I love what I do and have a passion for helping others. With my passion, I am constantly looking to expand my knowledge and expertise through additional post-graduate clinical training and education. I bring a positive, inviting attitude and excitement to my sessions with my clients to create an environment that allows clients to grow.
Bio
Believe it or not, when I was 16, I knew what I wanted to be and set the steps in motion to become a therapist. Back then, I still had a lot of growing and maturing left to do, but I knew I thrived on helping people, I was a good listener, people used to seek out my support, and somehow, I knew inside it was what I wanted to and was meant to do.

I have had the pleasure of being a School Social Worker for the past 5 years, working with all grade levels from from kindergarteners to seniors in high school. I have experience working with children and adolescents who are a part of either or both general education and special education settings. My school counseling experience includes providing both individual and group counseling as well as coaching and collaborative supportive services.

In my work at Health and Healing Therapy, I have the opportunity to work with kids, teens, and adults over a longer period of time within longer sessions which affords us to connect more and encourages my clients to open up more and dig a little deeper identifying what they want to be different in their life, and, together, we develop a plan on how to make that happen.
