Michaela Tork, LMFT
Do you wake up feeling depressed dreading to get through another day? Do you try to fill the void in your life with sensation-seeking behaviors: alcohol, drugs, food, sex, TV, video games, internet surfing, shopping, gambling etc.?
Have you lost touch with the aspirations and dreams that used to motivate and inspire you? Are your relationships troubled?
I can help!
Seeking therapy takes courage and the prospect of talking to a stranger can be intimidating. I relate to the discomfort you may experience and provide a confidential, non-judgmental, supportive space to work with you.

Bio
I am bilingual (English and German). Having lived in another country I have experienced the process of immigration and acculturation myself. Thus I am familiar with and sensitive to cultural differences and ethnic diversity. I am also cognizant of the central role that language plays in your upbringing and in your interpersonal relationships. I pay close attention to the way you express yourself, your choice of words and idiomatic style of expression. Over the years I have worked with people from various cultural, religious and ethnic backgrounds and provide culturally sensitive psychotherapy.
