Psychological and Court Evaluations and Psychotherapy
Dr. Mitchell provides a wide variety of services. He can uniquely provide forensic services for various court proceedings, such as 730 custody evaluations in divorce cases,and 733 second opinions on child custody decisions, as well as family reconciliation and court-ordered therapy, and psychological evaluations for many other legal purposes. He excels at giving consultation to lawyers involved in complex cases involving psychological issues. He also provides traditional clinical psychological services at Inland Psychological (IPPC) along with his wife, Dr. Cathryn Harris. We are friendly, family-oriented, faith-respecting and hopefully sometimes fun. We are dedicated to helping people in all aspects of their lives to become more whole, healthy, happy, fulfilled, and successful. We are dedicated to integrity and thoroughness in all our professional activities. We see children, adolescents and adults in individual, relational, and family outpatient psychotherapy. We offer many treatment options, ranging from brief, problem-oriented strategies, to intensive, longer term therapy. We have animal-assisted therapy available with two therapy dogs in-training. We also take pride in being a valuable resource for churches, synagogues, schools, businesses, the legal community, and fellow medical professionals for whom we can provide consultation, education, and crisis-management intervention. Both Dr. Cathryn Harris and Dr. Mitchell Harris have a specialization in trauma, using EMDR and other specialized techniques.

Dr. Mitchell Harris completed his Ph.D. at Texas Tech University in 1980, including a pre-doctoral internship a the the New Orleans Veterans Hospital, LA and a post-doctoral internship at Patton State Hospital, CA. He has specialized training in Clinical Hypnotherapy, NeuroLinguistic Programming (NLP), Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprogramming (EMDR), as well as extensive post doctorate training in Forensic Psychology.
Bio
Dr. Mitchell Harris is a licensed psychologist in private practice since 1985, but has been helping people through psychotherapy for four decades. He has worked in a variety of other settings, including state hospitals, college student health centers, child and family counseling centers, and university medical centers, as well as working with veterans on both an inpatient and outpatient basis. He has been an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Fuller Seminary Graduate School of Psychology providing clinical supervision to doctoral students. He has provided numerous Critical Incident debriefings to businesses in the community, as well as consultations and pre-employment evaluations. In the past he has also provided inpatient group therapy in local psychiatric hospitals, and served as a psychiatric emergency consultant at a local general hospital. He has performed many 730 and 733 evaluations for a number of court jurisdictions, as well as other types of psychological evaluations for legal purposes, including evaluations of prisoners awaiting trial.
Dr Cathryn and Dr. Mitchell have been married for almost 25 years, have one "perfect" daughter, and two less-than-perfect therapy dogs in training.
