Choosing a psychologist can be stressful, confusing, and frightening. Will she be able help us? How long will it take? What do I look for?
My approach to psychotherapy is a collaborative effort where you and I work on mutually agreed upon goals. We work to solve specific problems within a specific time frame. After carefully assessing the present concerns, we explore the problems within the context of family dynamics and medical history. We then identify goals and agree on ways to accomplish them.
This problem-solving, time-limited approach enables you to identify your strengths, focus on the problems, attain your goals, and succeed in your treatment. This process does not have to take forever.
I look forward to working with you.
