As an art therapist, I am trained in verbal and nonverbal communication. I work with adults, adolescents and school age children. I have an eclectic approach designed to meet your individual needs, issues and challenges. My studio/office space is inviting, comfortable and conducive to the creative process of therapy.

Art therapy is useful for exploring emotional issues as well as other goals and relationship challenges. The creative process opens a safe space for exploration and focusing on specific goals in therapy. In addition, I am currently starting an art therapy group for people who struggle with eating disorders and body image issues.

I like to work with culturally, ethnically diverse clientele including LGBTQ population. I also am experienced in working with women specifically regarding depression and anxiety during pregnancy and post-partem.

Insurance: I am an in network provider with Cigna and out of network with Aetna and others. Please contact me directly for more info about insurance coverage and sliding scale fee.

During my training and in my professional life, I have interned and worked in a variety of settings with adults, adolescents and children, mainly focusing on chronic mental illness, emotional distress, trauma and PTSD, facilitating a variety of groups and conducting individual art therapy and psychotherapy as well as case management. In my private practice I specialize in working with people dealing with stressors such as depression and mood disorders, anxiety disorders and PTSD and trauma, eating disorders, relationship and sexuality issues, as well as creative blocks, career issues, stress management, divorce, parenting issues and bereavement. I also supervise other professionals in the field. At present I am running one new, ongoing group for people with eating disorders, body image issues and related issues. I have also facilitated and presented workshops at various conferences and symposiums as well as in my studio and other settings.
