CST is a light-touch approach that can create dramatic improvements in your life. It releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve whole-body health and performance. Using a soft touch, generally no greater than five grams (the weight of a nickel), practitioners release restrictions in the to improve the functioning of the central nervous system.
Craniosacral therapy is a subtle and profound healing form that assists the body's natural capacity for self-repair. This therapy involves assessing and addressing the movement of the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), which can be restricted by physical or emotional trauma to the body or from the accumulated effects of general stress and tension.
Among CST's largest patient groups are those suffering chronic symptoms that haven't been aided by other approaches. In particular, CST is beneficial to those with head, neck or back injuries resulting from an accident - be it from a car, sports or work mishap or from a fall. The extremely light touch involved in the application of CST makes it a safe approach as well for children, infants and newborns with early traumas, including birth trauma. They especially can benefit from the timely identification and release of restrictions in the craniosacral system, thereby preventing future difficulties such as learning disabilities or hyperactivity.
In addition to CranioSacral Therapy, I also provide Yoga Therapy and meditation classes. Wellness Yoga classes are every Friday at 4:00. Meditation class is monthly on a Saturday. Please check www.CranioSedona for details.

Bio
I received my PhD in Biological Anthropology from the University of Kansas, and was a tenured Professor at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio until 1995, when I made a huge career change. In the course of explorations into my own health issues, I left academics to become a certified Hellerwork Structural Integration Practitioner, and began to study CranioSacral Therapy with the Upledger Institute. I took that first class in CranioSacral therapy as a prerequisite to another modality, and to this day, sixteen years later, I am still learning, in addition to teaching Introduction to CranioSacral Therapy in Northern Arizona and assisting at Upledger CranioSacral workshops around the country. I am a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) as a continuing education provider for nationally certified massage therapists, and also by the Arizona State Massage Board.
In 1998, I also became a certified Yoga Therapist. Since that time, I have combined bodywork and yoga to create customized therapeutic programs for individuals and groups dealing with a wide range of health and healing issues. I now live and work in Sedona, Arizona, where I balance my passion for bodywork and yoga with time spent hiking the trails of Arizona and beyond.
