You have found an empathic and supportive therapist. I work with adults and adolescents who have a variety of mental health issues such as: depression, anxiety, and various forms of traumatic issues. I do individual counseling and couple/family counseling. I apply the following clinical approaches: Cognitive Behavioral techniques, Motivational Interviewing, problem solving and REBT to help clints deal with thier issues. I also work with individuals who have chronic medical issues such as HIV/AIDS, diabetes, and cancer to help them deal effectively and cope with their overwhemeling medical condition(s). I help individuals who are feeling loss and hopeless with life learn how to begin a new journey to a new you.

Masters Degree, 2000, at College Of Mt. St. Vincent Riverdale-NY.
Completed one-year training and received certificate in Psychodynamic Approaches in Clinical Practice from National Institute for Psychotherapy.
Bio
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, an advanced credential for Masters-level counselors and therapists.
I have experience in management, administration, outreach, harm reduction and clinical experience in community mental health and psychiatry settings including CBO’s and programs requiring home visiting.
Proficient in providing counseling to people with mental health and substance abuse issues. Help clients increase awareness and insight to the negative thoughts and behaviors that affect daily functioning. Teach clients appropriate skills to manage symptoms and recovery process. Proficient in providing grief counseling. Also provide support/education around psychotropic medications.
