Stefanie Stolinsky, Ph.D.
With more than 2 years of clinical expertise to psychotherapy, Dr. Stolinsky brings a healthy, female emotional perspective to psychotherapy. With her extensive clinical and forensic background, Dr. Stolinsky is also suited to speak to those sexually, physically and emotionally abused as children. Dr. Stolinsky is the author of the best selling book, ACT IT OUT: 25 Expressive Ways to Heal from Childhood Abuse (2002) published by New Harbinger Publications, Inc. A second edition of this book with a link to YouTube with actors enacting these exercises will be out in January. These exercises allow clients to review and repeat past behavior as adults to make changes to their present lives.
A clinical and forensic psychologist, Dr. Stolinsky is a nationally recognized expert in the fields of trauma, PTSD, and child abuse. Born and raised in San Francisco, California, Dr. Stolinsky is a graduate of UCLA. She practices clinical and forensic psychology in Beverly Hills, CA. and has been an Adjunct Professor at the California Graduate Insititute, and has taught at UCLA extension as well as given many lectures on neuropsychology and object relations psychotherapy.
Dr. Stolinsky was featured in Jane Velez-Mitchell's book I WANT as an advisor on child abuse, serial killings and anti-social personality disorder as well as other psychological topics such as gambling, drug and alcohol addictions and eating disorders. .

I graduated from UCLA in psychology, USC in educational psychology.
Bio
I have been a licensed therapist for 20 years and am both a licensed marriage, family and child counselor as well as a licensed Ph.D. in clinical and forensic psychology. I also do neuropsychology evaluations, evaluations for court and object relations psychotherapy as well as cognitive behavioral therapy. I was born in San Francisco and live in Los Angeles where I was in the entertainment business for 10 years, a writer and a psychotherapist. I am married and am a contributor to various charities regarding worldwide hunger and environmental causes.
