There Is A Solution!
Dr. Sarah Allen Counseling
Solutions Not Problems!

Are you feeling that your emotions, work or your relationships are slipping out of your control? Your problems may have been bothering you for a long time and you feel it’s time to do something about it. Counseling can help.

Believe it or not, your life doesn’t have to be such a struggle. In a supportive, nurturing environment I can help you to begin to understand what is making you unhappy, focus on defining the changes you want and set about making them a reality. If you are not able to come in to my office I can provide telephone or online counseling to make therapy more convenient for you.

Women can face many emotional challenges throughout their life. By using solution-driven therapy I help women make changes in their lives by developing solutions rather than dwelling on problems.

Together we work on you looking after YOU so you can start enjoying your life again. Through many years of experience I have found that when women first come in they often need help to gain back control in their life.

Bio
In addition to being in practice for 20 years specializing in working with women and issues that arise across our lifespan, I have also been the Director of the PPD Alliance of Illinois for the past 12 years, a non-profit organization helping pregnant & postpartum women and their families. I offer a free support group and frequent workshops for new moms at Northbrook Public Library.

Over my years in practice I have seen that weight and eating issues frequently come up during therapy so in recent years I have undertaken further training in weight and eating management and have a special interest in helping women develop healthy lifestyles so we change your relationship with food making it a source of pleasure rather than a source of conflict.
