The healing touch of massage brings balance to one's body, mind and spirit. It is through identifying this balance on an individual level that one's natural healing powers are understood and sustained.

While massage can alleviate pain and stress, enhance athletic performance and accelerate recovery from injury, it can also help to increase one's body self-awareness and sensitivity, encourage self-esteem and improve one's emotional awareness.

In my practice I aim to encourage and explore balanced health for my clients and myself while creating a professional and supportive environment. It is my hope that each client will leave a session as a uniquely whole, vital and balanced individual.

Bio
BodyActive Therapeutics is owned and operated by Stephen Bay, a 2008 honors graduate of the Boulder College of Massage Therapy (BCMT). Stephen is nationally certified with the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCTMB) and a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA).

As one of the world's leading institutions for the study of therapeutic massage, BCMT offers a 1000-hour program in several modalities of massage therapy. With advanced training in assessing and treating commonly seen sports injuries, Stephen is familiar with the stresses and injuries caused by athletic exertion as well as the methods to improve performance and help prevent injury.

In addition to his massage education he brings a wealth of life experience to his profession. In the past 25 years he has been a competitive gymnast, dancer, triathlete and marathon runner. He has also performed in musical theatre around the world. After moving to Boulder to attend school, he now enjoys living and training in the foothills of Boulder, his new home.
