Suhong Xiao has been practicing acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine since 1983. She is a licensed acupuncturist in Indiana. She also holds the diploma for Oriental Medicine (OM), Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology, which are certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

She studied Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Western Medicine for eight years in Hunan University of TCM, China from 1977-1982. After graduated, she continued her medical practice at The First Affiliated Hospital of Hunan TCM University in Changsha, Hunan. Then she served as Physician then Attending Physician of Internal Medicine at City of Yiyang TCM Hospital, and was also pointed as Physician-in-Charge for the In-Patient Department in the 200-bed hospital.

In 1995 Dr. Xiao came to the United States and currently holds a faculty position in the Department of Medicine, Hematology/Oncology section, Indiana University, School of Medicine. Also she serves for her patients in town and oversea in China.

As an experienced TCM doctor, Dr. Xiao is expertise to Internal Medicine, Gynecology, and Pediatrics. She also has good program and formulas for pain relieving, stress reducing, and sleep problem recovering.

Specialty in liver disorders: acute infection (HAV, HBV), chronic HCV infection, alcohol abuse, liver fibrosis, cirrhosis, and varies liver damage conditions.

Specialty in Pulmonary, Cardiovascular, Gastrointestinal, Neurological disorders: such as Asthma, Bronchitis, Post-stroke, IBS …, etc. and other difficulty and complicated cases.
