I use a multidisciplinary approach which includes Somatic therapies, Transpersonal and Mindfulness-based therapies, Cognitive-Behavioral, EMDR, Internal Family Systems therapy, parenting skills, relationship counseling, hypnotherapy, meditation, music and sound therapy. I see individual, couples and families. My work focuses on releasing those patterns that create suffering, stress, or loss of joy.
Within us all is the capacity to move in life from a center of wholeness, creativity and Love. Learning to access this Center or Essential Self is the way to release pain, and thus awakening freedom and fulfillment. Transformation can be experienced in may aspects of our life: physically, mentally, relationally, emotionally, vocationally and spiritually. Though difficulties in life may be the initial reason to seek therapy, the result can bring balance, harmony, and new resources. The ultimate goal is to access your own inner strength, wisdom and capacity to heal and express your Authentic Essential Self. |

| Susan has been in practice for over 20 years. Before being a licensed psychotherapist, she practiced and taught various forms of massage and bodywork. Susan co-founded two Massage Institutes and is currently co-directing Cypress Health Institute in Santa Cruz where she teaches bodyworkers how emotions and trauma are stored in the body. Susan has been an international trainer and teacher. She maintains an active private practice in Santa Cruz, California where she sees individuals, couples, families and groups. |
