We are generalists working with individuals and families of all ages, ethnic backgrounds and with most emotional and relationship problems and most diagnoses. We have a great deal of experience with clients who are experiencing depression and/or anxiety and with clients with relationship issues of all types.
We are also available to do presentations on communication skills – assertiveness training, conflict resolution, listening skills training and "self-communication" (self-awareness) as well as on parenting skills, stress management, overcoming shyness and other mental health topics.

Bio
Terry Hefter, MA, LCPC, heads up Terry Hefter Associates, LLC, a group of licensed psychotherapists in the Chicago area. She is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). For 11 years she worked full-time for private non-profit social service agencies doing therapy and supervision while maintaining a private practice. Since July 1995 she has been in private practice full-time with offices in Lincoln Park (at 1731 N. Marcey near North Ave. and Clybourn).
