Bio
Doctor Trisha Phaklides is the “Scientist of Dream Interpretation.” She specializes in interpreting the meaning of dreams utilizing Chinese- or Eastern medicine-accepted practices. The focus of Chinese dream interpretation centers on the "Five Elements" theory, which defines different sensory clues — particularly the visual aspect of dreams — that can be used to diagnose the specific physiological condition of the dreamer.

We Dream in Chinese brings the benefits of Chinese dream interpretation to America. It includes anecdotal examples demonstrating the meaning of dreams and the correlation between the dreams and the physiological condition of the dreamer. In the Five Elements of Dream Interpretation Theory, Dreams of Fire are correlated with the condition of the dreamer’s heart or small intestine. “Dreams of Wood” have bearing on the health or function of the liver and/or gallbladder. “Dreams of Water” are typically indicative of an issue with the kidneys or bladder. “Dreams of Earth” are associated with the spleen and/or stomach health. Lastly, “Dreams of Metal” are correlated with the lung and intestinal health.

Trisha Phaklides is a Doctor of Oriental Medicine and a licensed acupuncturist practicing in Racine, Wisconsin. She started seeing patterns in her patients that correlated their dreams with their diagnoses. As a result of this discovery, she began researching the connection that helps to explain one of the great mysteries all of us have wondered about for years: What do our dreams really mean?
