We all face problems in life which can at times seem overwhelming. We may not be able to clearly see solutions to those problems because of our own stress level, emotional pain, and confusion over what is best. In therapy, I can help you by giving you a compassionate, safe, non-judgemental place to express your deepest thoughts and feelings, explore options to resolve the problems you are facing, and support and encourage you as you face them. In therapy, you will gain insight, wisdom, and practical coping skills to deal with your personal issues with more confidence.
I have 18 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families with a variety of issues and have extensive experience with relationships, addictions, and grief. I have helped clients improve communication, and intimacy in their relationships, obtain and maintaining sobriety, and cope with loss and trauma.
I also provide Corporate Training and Crisis Response Services. I am available to speak on topics such as "Stress Management" and "Substance Abuse". I can be available for immediate on-site counseling to organizations in the event of traumatic indidents in the workplace such as unexpected deaths, accidents, robberies, and layoffs.
Education/Training
Master's of Science degree in Counseling Psychology 1998 from Northeastern University in Boston, MA.
Bio
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist as well as a Substance Abuse Professional.
Prior to beginning my private practice, I worked as an Account Manager for a national Employee Assistance Program where I provided corporate consultation, crisis response, and training services to businesses throughout Southern California. I have worked for the largest private mental health clinic in Massachusetts as a Staff Therapist and a Regional Director overseeing two mental health clinics and a children's day treatment program.
