I am a Certified Emotionally Focused Therapist. Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) has been empirically shown to be a very successful model for couples & families. I work with couples to help create more satisfying, intimate relationships through understanding & resolving conflicts, repairing old wounds, improving communication skills and learning to develop greater empathy in a climate of mutual trust & respect. I also have experience with issues of sexual orientation & the gay/lesbian community & their families.

I also work with individuals who are having difficulty with life and relationship issues, and who realize old solutions are no longer effective. We work together towards reducing distressing feelings such as anxiety & depression and developing strategies to deal with life’s problems & transitions such as job changes, parenting concerns and trauma to name a few.

I graduated from Columbia University School of Social Work in 2002.

I have also done post graduate training at CPPNJ (an institute for advanced study in NJ), in EMDR and am a Certified Emotionally Focused Therapist, a specific method of marriage counseling which has been shown to be highly effective.
