Bio
Charity is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in individual and pre-marital/couple therapy, with a private practice in Valencia, CA.
Charity received her Masters of Art degree in Clinical Psychology at Azusa Pacific University, Azusa, CA. She started her career working with dual-diagnosis, at risk probation youth in residential rehab. It was then she started to discover how self-esteem plays a role in everyone’s lives. Charity dove deeper into understanding how self-esteem impacts youth and is carried into young adults and adults. It’s from her clinical experience and desire to help individuals increase their self-esteem Charity created a card game, “i am…” that helps individuals increase their self-esteem.
Charity has worked with individuals addressing depression and anxiety related issues. She is certified in Aggression Replacement Training (evidence based practice that addresses anger with adolescents) and Seeking Safety (evidence based practice that helps individuals understand the connection between trauma and substance use). Charity believes a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship is the foundation of any successful treatment plan. Her therapeutic approach includes working with you to build a strong therapeutic partnership as you work towards change, growth and awareness. Charity is committed to creating a safe and comfortable environment where you will feel confident in exploring and processing how to overcome life barriers and achieve ultimate fulfillment
Charity is also devoted to working with couples create lasting relationships by creating a solid foundation. Charity is certified in Prepare and Enrich which helps couples identify their strengths and growth areas.
