With more than 32 years of experience working for hospitals and hospices, and active military and veteran’s. I established Covington-McGee Christian Counseling to help people who need counseling. My goal is to help people overcome the difficulties through Christian teachings and values.

Dr. Mel McGee (CEO) of Covington-McGee Christian Counseling. Since 1989 she has counseled in various depts in the hospitals and in hospice, home health , active military installations and provided Veteran assistance in benefits.
She has been on various Certified Boards including International Practitioner of Holistic Medicine (IPHM), Alternative American Medicine Association (AAMA), Military Chaplains Association (MCA) , American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) , The National Association of Veterans Affairs Chaplains (NAVAC), Christian Military Wives Fellowship (CMF) , Black Christian Therapy, Black MD Cares, SACRD (San Antonio Community Resource Directory), Aging & Disability Resource Center, Melanin & Mental Health, Spot Fund, Seek A Therapy, Therapy Den, Psychology Today, Chaplaincy Innovation Lab , Funeralwise, The Ecumenical Center, San Antonio Texas(Life After Loss Facilitator). Recently she joined The Covid Grief Network it provides short term grief support and build long term community for young adults who are grieving in the midst of this pandemic. Dr. Mel McGee also recently joined The National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) which provides behavioral and mental support to firefighters, EMTs, and rescue personnel. She is a provider for Twogether In Texas pre-marital classes in Texas. Dr. Mel McGee's approach consists in the form of healing the whole person body, mind, spirit, and emotions in the quest for optimal health and wellness.
