Kelley Massengale, LCSW, BACS, CST
Individual Therapy, Couples Therapy, Sex Therapy
You’ve already made the difficult decision to seek out help. Let’s build on this positive decision together and get you the support you seek. I want to promote your emotional, psychological, and relational health using methods I will tailor to your individual needs and circumstances without disregarding your right to self-determination. I work with a variety of issues where I incorporate a variety of modalities including client-centered, psychodynamic, gestalt, mindfulness, and systems theory.
It is my goal to provide for you a safe and welcoming environment where you can express yourself openly and honestly, without fear of judgment or reproach. I enjoy working with individuals and couples who are struggling with stress from work or career issues, relationship issues, grief as a result of death or divorce, or have a history of abuse or trauma. These challenges often come along with depression, anxiety, panic, obsessional worries and loneliness. I also have experience in treating adolescents who are having problems with their academic performance, peer relations, or mental health including symptoms of cutting or self-harming behavior. I find working with the families (when appropriate) can also be effective in bringing about positive change. At the heart of good therapy is an open and honest relationship, where my task is to be mindful always of peoples choices. Together we will explore the negative beliefs, emotions and behaviors that have held you back and clear the emotional charge associated with them, so that you can begin to accept and love yourself and make healthy and life-enhancing choices moving forward.
