Facilitating Your Unique Journey to Wholeness
EMDR, Cultural Issues, Visioning, Couples, Trauma.
I believe that life is punctuated by a series of challenges and transitions that set the stage for our growth. Sometimes, we can become burdened by negative interpretations of ourselves, or feel stumped by a challenge. My gift lies in helping each client to find and reclaim the unique healing impulse of their own psyche.

In this process, we are often led to unearth and release old pain, trauma and stuckness; while at other times, we need to navigate a new path to discover what allows our whole being to come alive. Therapy is a unique opportunity to understand yourself more deeply and achieve greater wholeness. I see my role as co-explorer and facilitator on this process of discovery.

Theoretical Approach
Keeping in mind the uniqueness of each individual, I aim to always be mindful of your personal needs. Beginning with short-term tools to address the immediacy and urgency of the symptoms that have brought you in, I engage you in a co-crafted journey of discovery.

My goal is to help you find the tools that will best support you and in this process, I employ a vast repertoire of techniques. I have the benefit of drawing from a wide pool of theoretical positions including Psychodynamic, Psychoanalytic, Cognitive Behavioral, Systems Approach, Solution Focused, and Existential theories. In addition, I enjoy weaving in the rich wisdom traditions of the world that allow us to have hope during the dark times. I find it meaningful to also bring in the wisdom of the body where we store old wounds, but more importantly, where we find our own potent medicine for that which ails us. Mindfulness techniques and guided imagery can be another powerful tool for many clients. And without a doubt, EMDR can be used as a very effective companion on this healing journey.
Bio
With almost two decades of cross-cultural experiences in living, studying and working on two continents, Rajani brings a richly multicultural perspective to her work as a therapist. Rajani artfully weaves in the personal, inter-personal, trans-personal and cultural to bring into focus the vivid tapestry of each client's rich and varied life-experience. This allows for a strength-based solution-focused approach, unique to each client. Drawing from a dedicated mindfulness practice, she brings a compassionate, authentic and nurturing presence to the lives of others.

Identities Beyond Boundaries
With an abiding interest in the complex sphere of human relationships, she brings gentle and sustained attention to the nuances of culture and communication in therapy. Learning to co-exist with “the other” is as important in understanding our own self, as it is in cross-cultural relationships. With this theme in mind, Rajani leads a group discovery process called “Identities beyond Boundaries”. If you are interested in learning more about these groups, please contact her.
