Main Street Dental in Newark, Delaware offers comprehensive and compassionate dental care backed by more than 70 years of experience. The Cox family began practicing dentistry on Main Street, Newark in 1942 when Dr. Clyde Cox opened his office in it’s original location of the historic Green Mansion. His practice then expanded with the addition of his son, Dr. Thomas Cox, in 1975. Dr. Clyde retired in 1980 and Dr. Thomas Cox continued his solo practice until 2006 with the arrival of his daughter, Dr. Erin Cox. The practice was renamed Main Street Dental and in 2017 relocated to The Stone House on Center Street. At Main Street Dental, we are committed not only to quality dental care, but also to the comfort and satisfaction of our patients. We will help you to learn about your dental health. Bio

Dr. Erin Cox Dr. Erin is a native of Newark, DE. She is a graduate of St. Mark’s High School and received her B.S from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill where she also played field hockey and won two National Championships. She then received her D.D.S from The University of Maryland Baltimore College of Dental Surgery where she was a member of many organizations including the Prosthodontic Honors Society. She completed her General Practice Dental residency at the Christiana and Wilmington Hospitals. She joined her father at Main Street Dental in 2006. She is an active member of the Delaware Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentists, the American Dental Association, and the ITI Dental Study Group. Erin also worked part-time at the Howard School of Technology from 2007 to 2010 where she was the resident dentist for the dental assisting program, giving students a hands-on learning experience in dentistry. Dr. Erin resides in Hockessin, Delaware with her husband Dennis, daughter Emersyn, and son Logan.
