Manchester-Bedford Myoskeletal LLC
We're located in the Bedford Commons medical park, Building 1 in the heart of the area's health care corridor. There is easy access to the facility by Interstate, highways, and local roads. Plenty of free parking. Many local stores, restaurants, shops, and of course other medical and dental offices are nearby.
Here at Manchester-Bedford Myoskeletal, we work to correct problems and pain in human posture caused by functional muscle imbalances. When your body experiences pain, injury, or poor postural habits, your brain rewires your muscles to protect the skeleton and central nervous system. But this sets you up for muscle compensation strain, and the bones in your body end up out of alignment. You can see this in people whose head or neck is always leaning forward, their bellies and backsides stick out, they appear hunched over, they shuffle when they walk, shoulders are stooped. There are many other ways muscle compensations might show up, but are perhaps more difficult for the untrained eye to see. Difficulty breathing, their walking gait or stride is a little off, something might not feel right during exercise workouts, such as squats or other hip movements.
We also see patients for all types of orthopedic and remedial massage, both by self-referral and by referral from your physician or physical therapist.
Your first session includes taking a detailed history and lifestyle consultation, full-body assessment (regardless of complaint), and bodywork or referral as necessary. Please note that we do not chase pain in this clinic. We evaluate the entire body to get to the root cause of your dysfunction and provide bodywork in a systematic order to eliminate or reduce imbalances along the way.
Massage therapy doesn't fix your musculoskeletal problems, but rather gives your body the ability to fix itself -- something it is constantly trying to do.
